School’s out! (Didn’t they only just go back?!) Instead of looking ahead to days of screen time battles, you could try an interactive treasure hunt around Sheffield. Let the kids take the lead and have an adventure together!

Enjoy the city

Thank goodness the weather’s improving! And the long evenings means it’s a lot nicer being outdoors now.

But there’s a lot more to Sheffield than just the same old haunts.

Now’s a great time to spend some time together in the city centre, solving puzzles and seeing some brilliant stuff you’d forgotten about!

Treasure Hunt Sheffield is a great way to reconnect with the city.

Maybe you’ve been into the city centre a million times- with Treasure Hunt Sheffield you’ll discover places, people and things you never knew with our treasure hunt route- discovering fascinating stories and unearthing hidden gems- there’s a lot to love about Sheffield, isn’t there?

There’s no time limit so you can take your time and make a full day of it. Take a picnic and go at your own pace, or stop along the way (we’ve planned a route that takes you past some of Sheffield’s best spots for coffee, snacks and cake!) There are great pubs and cafes at Kelham island, after clue 9.

It’ll keep the kids out of mischief for a good few hours and they’ll be worn out after rushing around looking for clues.

You’ll have fun puzzling over cryptic clues and following treasure maps.

“Quite embarrassing really but very grateful 👏🏼

We took our mum on her 76th birthday and was a little unsure if she could walk for 2/3 hours but she had us moving on the next clue with total commitment and enthusiasm!

Even our two sons 19 & 22 yrs old were fully engaged, a feat I never achieve unless I’m feeding them.”

Suitable for kids 8+

The game’s designed for grown-ups - so you’ll enjoy it - and it’s suitable for kids aged 8 and up.

You’ll need to work together to help them with the cryptic clues.

The whole route is pushchair friendly.

“Was really fun, friends from Sheffield discovered places/things they had never seen before,so surprised us all!! Lovely walk around and learnt lots too. Plenty of opportunities to stop off for drinks/food, so can make it as long/short as you like. 👏👍”
